The Colorado Springs balloon launch site
is in Southeastern Colorado Springs at the intersection of Fountain
Avenue & Murray Street. From 1-25 exit 139 drive East 3-3.5
miles to the intersection of Murray Street. Exit 139 is also referred
to in sinage as "Martin Luther King Bypass." Fountain
Avenue is also referred to as "Highway 24 East." Turn
left on Murray Street and immediately turn right into the "Conoco"
Parking Lot. Drive around behind the Conoco to Park. Our crew/rigs
will pull in to parking lot to pick you up.
The Aspen/Snowmass balloon launch site is
at the "Rodeo lot" just 5 minutes from Snowmass Village.
From Aspen
(15 minutes):
Take Hwy 82 North / Down Valley approximately 4 miles to Brush Creek
Road. Turn left on Brush Creek, there is also a sign that says Snowmass
Village. Take Brush Creek about 4 miles. Just past the welcome sign
to Snowmass there will be a large parking lot on the right and a
Rodeo Arena. This is where we launch our balloons from. If you travel
past the gold course, you have gone too far!
From Snowmass Village
(5 minutes):
Drive downhill on Brush Creek past the gold course, until you see
the Rodeo Grounds and the parking lot on the left.
From Glenwood Springs
(45-50 minutes):
Drive up valley on Hwy. 82 to Snowmass Village and turn Right on
Brush Creek Road. Be careful not to turn at the Snowmass Conoco
further back Hwy. 82...keep driving until you see "Brush Creek
Road." After turning Right on Brush Creek Road, turn Right
into the Rodeo lot.
